We welcome enquiries from qualified individuals at any time. We are always in need of experienced IT professionals with Sun Microsystems technology, project management or service delivery experience. Currently we are seeking to recruit:
- Sun Solaris systems engineer/UNIX systems engineer
You will be part of an existing team delivering a high level of client service with a main focus on Solaris systems, including the analysis and resolution of incidents, installations, migrations of Unix/Solaris platforms and other system infrastructure projects.
Qualifications and skills required: A wide working knowledge of the Sun hardware range, including high end systems (E10K, E25K), Solaris 9 and 10, Sun Cluster 3.1 or 3.2, Veritas Volume Manager 4.1, Oracle, Legato Networker, Jumpstart, EMC and HDS. Experience of Websphere would also be an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in French and English.
- Storage/backup administrator
You will be responsible for the installation, administration, migration and technical support of storage and backup technologies running on Unix platforms (Solaris and/or AIX) used by Halian PSF clients.
Qualifications and skills required: Sound working knowledge of Solaris systems, SAN, EMC, HDS, Veritas Netbackup and Legato Networker. Other Unix experience, and knowledge of Tivoli Storage Manager, also an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in French and English.
You will resolve and coordinate/escalate software and hardware related requests from Sun customers and partners within agreed response and solution times.
Qualifications and skills required: Several years in similar post-sales support roles with Sun servers (low-end, mid-range, high-end desirable), and Solaris. Experience of network administration, volume management capabilities (VxVm and Disksuite), storage (SAN) and cluster management also an advantage.
Languages: French and conversational English.
